We had a great turn out at Bray DART station this morning, with volunteers getting up early on a Saturday to help carry out some gardening maintenance.

Work on the station is ongoing, with Iarnrod Eireann carrying out works such as finishing off mosaics, fixing broken doors, adding poetry boards, and removal of redundant wiring and flags.

Thanks as always to the this who helped out, and in particular to Bray Rotary Club for their help with the Albert walkway.

Members of the committee had cause to celebrate at the Helix, DCU yesterday as Bray was awarded a bronze medal at the National Tidy Towns Competition.

Our score of 296 is an increase of 10 ten points on last year, significantly up from the 2014 score of 278.

A big thank you to all our hard-working volunteers for coming out to help in all weather. By working closely with other community groups and Bray Municipal District, we can all present Bray in the good light it deserves.

Thank you also to the people of Bray who tend to their own areas by carrying out tasks such as planting and weeding. And, thanks to the businesses in Bray who sponsor Bray Tidy Towns and also those businesses who keep their premises looking lovely with flowers, fresh paint and neat exteriors.

We are all helping to make a great town even better, and we plan to work even harder over the next year to make this a reality
